terms & conditions
We want you to have an exciting, purposeful or at the very least an easy experience whilst you are exploring SalvoWEB.com.
Nobody enjoys reading terms and conditions so we have divided them into clear headings below. Please take time to review these before using our Services. The terms and conditions set out your rights and responsibilities when you use SalvoWEB.com and any other websites owned and/or operated by Salvo Limited. Use of SalvoWEB.com including all Services, media and data available on it, is governed by these Terms and Conditions and the following related policies:
- Our Privacy Policy which sets out the terms on which we process any personal data we collect from you, or that you or others provide to us. By using our Site, you acknowledge the existence of such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate.
- Our Cookie Policy which sets out information about the cookies on our site.
By using our services you are agreeing to these terms.
'We' are Salvo Limited and we operate SalvoWEB.com. We are a company registered in England and Wales and our registered office is at Old Rectory Studio, Ashford Road, Chartham, Canterbury, Kent CT4 7HS. Our registered company number is 03673217
The Services SalvoWEB.com offers allow you to search the Site and connect with anyone and everyone, from DIYers to designers, architects and builders, to match something reclaimed or recrafted with someone that wants to reuse it.
It is important to distinguish between items for sale in the Salvo shop, which have a ‘BUY’ button and regular for sale listings.
Items with the ‘BUY’ button can be purchased on SalvoWEB.com. Sellers in the Salvo shop are members of the Salvo Code, which is a longstanding voluntary code for dealers who are committed to high standards and responsible sourcing.
When purchasing items in the Salvo shop we also provide some necessary support services such as providing you with customer service assistance and payment processing without charge. However, the contract for the purchase of the items is between you and the relevant Seller. This means that it is the Sellers and not Salvo Limited who is legally responsible for selling the items to you. Read more about sales in the Salvo shop below.
We allow other business users and private users to list items for sale. When searching items for sale you can see if they are a ‘BUSINESS AD’ or a ‘PRIVATE AD’. Look for the Salvo Code crane logo for Salvo Code business user listings. Please be aware that these regular for sale listings are not pre-checked, and unfortunately some users can abuse this open access. Read our faqs for more guidance or please contact us if you have any concerns.
By using our Services you represent, understand and agree to accept, comply with, and be bound by these terms and conditions.

It is not lawful in the UK and many other countries for traders in secondhand goods to claim that they are private individuals. If you are not sure then please contact Salvo before you register and raise ads.

content
User Generated Content (as defined below) and any other materials provided on the Services are owned by Salvo and/or third parties, and are collectively referred to as "Content". The rights in the Website and the Content are protected by international copyright laws as well as by any relevant national law concerning copyright, authors' rights and database right laws. All such rights are reserved.
A user must use their own images and text for uploads for which the user grants Salvo a non- exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable right to use the content (including without limitation, creating and using derivative works) and authorises Salvo to exercise any and all copyright, trademark, publicity, database or other intellectual property rights you have in any media known now or developed in the future. Further, to the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, you waive your moral rights in the content and promise not to assert such rights or any other intellectual property rights you have in the content against us, our sublicensees or our assignees. Salvo shall have no obligation to return any text or images delivered to it for uploading.

We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to change, delete, update, modify or otherwise alter the Content at any time without providing notice to you. The Content is provided for informational purposes only and is not binding on SalvoWEB.com in any way except to the extent that it is specifically indicated to be so.
We would like web pages, advertisements and emails to be accurate, legal, honest and unabusive. Salvo allows people to advertise and to reply to advertisements instantly. Adverts are not pre- checked by Salvo. Salvo hopes that people will not abuse the open access given to them. But some people do abuse the system. This abuse is usually minor, for example using a superlative like 'the best' or 'top quality', or claiming to be a private seller rather than a business seller. But people are able, for example, to put stolen items on to SalvoWEB.com, or items made in countries under unfair or illegal labour conditions.
messaging system
Users are solely responsible for interactions with others. All users agree to exercise caution and good judgment in all interactions with others.
- You must not use Messages to send unsolicited advertising or promotions, request samples, loans, donations or "spam”. You must not pass on email addresses or any other information on to third parties.
- Please use common sense when giving out personal information to others via messaging, for example don't send someone your credit card details.
- You must not use messages to knowingly harass, threaten, blackmail or abuse another member.
Salvo shop
sales
We are authorised by the relevant Sellers to conclude the contract on their behalf but we are not a party to that contract and you are not purchasing the items from us.
We request that all Sellers using SalvoWEB.com have and maintain reasonable and ethical business policies which comply with our own business policies. If you are unhappy with the item or service you have received from a Seller, you should contact us and we will liaise with the relevant Seller on your behalf to try to resolve the issue.
ethical sourcing policy
All Sellers in the Salvo shop are members of the Salvo Code, which advocates fairly traded items, to give customers the choice of fair trade items, and to avoid slave labour in the supply chain. Established in 1995 the voluntary code is for dealers who are committed to high standards and responsible sourcing.
As a reputable and trusted business committed to offering its customers high-quality items, we recognise our obligation to try to ensure that all Sellers are operating ethically. We expect all Partners to consistently provide an environment which protects their employees' health and safety and basic human rights.
We recognise the importance of being proactive and doing everything within our power to support the rights of those involved in the sourcing and manufacture of the items for sale in the Salvo shop.
orders, prices and payment
By completing the checkout process and placing an order you are offering to purchase the product from the relevant Seller and not directly from us. Your order for the items is subject to these General Terms and Conditions which are incorporated into the contract between you and the relevant Seller.
All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price, which is determined by the relevant Sellers. After entering into the contract for the product with the Seller, the Seller will be under a legal duty to supply you with goods that are in conformity with the contract. Legal title to the product purchased will pass to you upon your payment being accepted. Risk in the product will remain with the Seller and/or Salvo (as applicable) until it is delivered to you at the address specified when you placed your order.
By placing an order, you are promising that all details you provide are true and accurate, that you are over 18 years of age, that you are an authorised user of the credit or debit card used to place your order and that there are sufficient funds in the account to cover the cost of your order.
Please take the time to read and check your order at each page of the order process as you are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate. When you place an order, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your order. Whilst we try and ensure that all details, descriptions and prices that appear on SalvoWEB.com are accurate, this information is provided to us by the Sellers.
If you have selected a Bespoke delivery by seller, you will receive a quote separately for the price of shipping, and this transaction for the shipping cost will take place off the SalvoWEB.com platform and will be arranged by the Seller.
In the unlikely event that we or the Sellers encounter a problem when processing your order, we will contact you and may possibly request further information to try and resolve the issue.
We reserve the right not to submit your order to the Seller, and the Sellers reserve the right not to accept your order if, for example, the item ordered is out of stock, has been withdrawn or is otherwise not available, or if we are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment or if you do not meet the eligibility criteria.
delivery
Salvo offers a range of different delivery options at checkout:
1) Seller arranged delivery
In the case of 'Free UK delivery' and 'Bespoke delivery by Seller' the Seller will arrange and
provide their chosen delivery service. We will provide you with the Seller's contact details. It is the
Seller's sole responsibility for ensuring the transport of goods to you.
When selecting 'Bespoke delivery by Seller', the Seller shall provide shipping information, including the carrier's name, the complete cost of shipment from the Seller to your designated delivery address. You and the Seller shall mutually agree on shipment terms and you shall prepay all shipping costs off the SalvoWEB.com platform.
If the Seller does not contact you within the 7 day period, please notify Salvo and we will liaise on your behalf.
2) Delivery arranged by Salvo
In the case of delivery through Salvo's chosen shipping carriers, such as DHL, we (and not the
Sellers) manage the delivery service to you. We ask our Sellers to package and provide the items to
the carrier within 3 working days. We will try to ensure that your order is delivered by the estimated
delivery days given at checkout, but there may be circumstances where delivery is delayed because
of events beyond our reasonable control. If this happens, we will try and arrange for your items to
be delivered as soon as possible, but we will not be liable to you for any losses caused as a result of
such delay. To receive accurate information on the progress of your order we recommend that you
use the tracking number provided rather than the shipping carrier's automatic delivery alerts.
3) Click and Collect
In the case of 'Click and Collect' we advise you to contact the Seller directly to arrange a suitable
time to collect the item. We ask that you confirm a collection date within 21 days of the order
confirmation. At collection you must bring the order number along with either the payment card,
passport or photocard driving licence, as the order cannot be released without them. The Seller
might be happy for someone else to collect the order, but to safeguard against fraud you must
confirm with the Seller before collection and the nominated person must present the order number
and their own photo ID.

return policy
Your order for items purchased in the Salvo shop is subject to these Terms and Conditions which are incorporated into the contract between you and the relevant Seller.
Each Seller is responsible for their own policies regarding refunds, exchanges, and returns. In the event that you wish to return an item purchased in the Salvo shop, please contact Salvo directly within 14 days of receiving the item, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act. Salvo will promptly inform the Seller of the return request, and actions will be taken in accordance with the Seller's sales policies.
warranties and liability
Salvo does not store, or inspect any of the items sold through our Services. We provide the platform for items listed, and sold directly by our Sellers, so Salvo cannot and does not make any warranties about their quality, safety, or even their legality. Any legal claim related to an item you purchase must be brought directly against the Seller. Salvo is released from any claims related to items sold through our Services, including for defective items, misrepresentations, or liability claims.
