When taking the reins of The House Directory, I was inspired by the founders, Nicolette le Pelley and Cheryl Knorr, who have - with their decades of expertise, refined taste and diligence - developed a valuable and enduring resource for the interior design industry. My responsibility and mission, as I steer the business forward, is to build upon this foundation a community of like-minded brands and individuals with a shared vision. The aim is to encourage longevity in interiors through well-considered design choices and the use of antiques, vintage & salvage. Also, to champion craftsmanship and artisanry; as the works of our artists and craftspeople will become the treasures of the future.

Collaborating with Salvo to create an exclusive pocketbook, ‘The Restoration Guide’ is a small gesture towards these values. Featuring a wealth of skilled craftspeople and specialist suppliers, this invaluable index will be launched at The Decorative Fair on May 7th, alongside The Salvo Pocket Guide. You can also reserve your free digital copy at the link below.

The House Directory LIVE on the mezzanine of The Decorative Fair also features a series of panel talks and workshops with special House Guests, plus demonstrations throughout the week in a Maker’s Arena to showcase the skills and expertise of craftspeople and restorers.

Don’t miss Salvo’s Sara Morel (Reclaimed Woman) with Edward Bulmer (Edward Bulmer Natural Paint) and Amy Eld (Rock the Heirloom) in a discussion about designing interiors with antiques on Tuesday, May 7th, at 2:30 pm. Hope to see you there!
