Earlier this month TW Gaze opened their “physical” doors once again to hold onsite auctions, with the wellbeing of customers and staff remaining their number one priority. The auction house has one of the largest sale grounds in the country with outside areas allowing everyone to keep a safe space.

The genuine excitement of returning to a real life auction plus the beautiful weather made their latest Architectural Salvage & Statuary sale a buzzy affair. Held on the 22nd April the auction had 506 lots in total, ranging from cast iron decorative garden furniture to granite setts and stone fireplaces.

My favourite pieces from the sale were two decorative scrolled large iron obelisks (Lot No 6416) which sold for £580, a handsome pair of reconstituted seated hounds (Lot No 6435) and a 19th Century oak Gothic side gate, salvaged from a vicarage in Cambridge (Lot No 6288)

TW Gaze hosts auctions every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and have many exciting special events already planned for the spring and summer seasons, including the Salvo Anniversary Architectural Salvage Auction on Saturday 26th June 2021. Taking place a week after the Salvo Fest of imperfect beauty, the auction will bring the festivities to a close with a bang. Follow the link below, and contact TW Gaze to sell items in this special auction.
