Last month, Abacus Stone Sales supplied the National Trust with a range of reclaimed Rossendale flagstones. The large flagstones will be used to create public footpaths across the North Yorkshire Moors, and will allow for easy access throughout the popular tourist destination. To overcome the challenges of delivering to a remote location, the team enlisted the service of a helicopter to air lift the big Rossendale flags into the national park. Although it was an unconventional delivery method, we combined our vast experience with expert project management to ensure that our client received their products on time.
Reclaimed Rossendale flagstones are thick flagstones that are renowned for their impressive durability. As you might expect, the robust nature of the stone means it is perfect for a range of outdoor projects such as driveways and courtyards. Additionally, thanks to its hard-wearing properties Rossendale flagstones are ideal for creating heavy-duty flooring that is resistant to damage from, the usual transportation method, of large vehicles.
At Abacus Stone Sales we have made it our mission to support landscapers, builders and renovators by supplying the highest quality of Yorkshire paving stone, walling stone and roof slates available.
