SalvoWEB itself was recommended by Archie Mackie in top tips to get the rustic look as the website 'great for architectural salvage materials' in The Telegraph magazine piece, "The best of both worlds by Jo Leevers, 24th August. Archie and Caddy Mackie have renovated a 17th Century Cotswold cottage into their family home with an additional tiny garden living space in a converted shed.

The couple have a busy life as they also source and sell unique interior objects such as vintage industrial furniture, salvaged lighting, antique painted French furniture and mid century pieces. Salvaged and reclaimed items continue to evolve with age so add a unique design story to your home. They have been made to last and will have already stood the test of time. Archie and Caddy especially enjoy helping people move away from cheap mass made pieces to 'properly made ones with a soul'. They also hold the belief that reusing something must be more efficient than recycling so you are doing your bit for the environment.

Their 'Original House' showroom is based in the Cotswolds, five miles north of Cirencester and it is well worth a visit to find your own touch of history and character or that statement piece. They also source unique pieces for commercial spaces, such as the ever popular Soho House hotel group.

Images show the cottage renovation and the 'Old Tailors', an extra living space created from an old tailor's workshop in their garden.
