Bill Seddon started English Garden Antiques twenty years ago and now plans to sell up before the end of this year. Although he still has great affection for the business, he has been told to give his third replacement hip a little rest, despite his claim to be the perfect walking (limping!) advertisement for a reclamation company.
The main assets of the business are the stock currently comprising over 300 antique and reclaimed pieces of small, medium and large troughs, sundials, armillary spheres, bird baths, millstones, seats and benches, staddle stones, fountains and assorted outdoor ironwork.
In addition, as many of his trade colleagues have commented, the "English Garden Antiques" website name is invariably top of most internet searches!
Bill said, "As we currently run the business from the gardens and outbuildings at our home, the disposal of the business is an integral part of our ultimate plans to downsize. I would be delighted to hear from anybody interested in acquiring the business or the stock alone and who would like to receive a more detailed prospectus."
