Wellers Auctioneers has been appointed by Rod Sinfield of Milton Keynes Antiques and Architectural Salvage to conduct a 750 lot mainly unreserved clearance auction of architectural reclamation including many vintage and retro interior furnishings.

Auctioneer Luke Duddy from Wellers commented, "Rod Sinfield has a very good eye for items that are currently in vogue in the vintage and retro world and equally has good skills amongst his team to upcycle or restore salvaged features that may have been rendered unfashionable by some, into desirable and attractive home furniture and furnishings".

Amongst the restored items are lots 387, 390 and 391, all benches which have been given a new lease of life by using oak felled from the Royal Sandringham Estate in 1954, lot 340 an industrial iron base table with a two plank top also features the same Sandringham Oak. Other star lots include lots 598 and 599 both cast iron fern and blackberry design benches believed to be by Coalbrookdale, both of the benches have at least five layers of peeling paint giving a wonderful look which simply adds to the benches attraction.

Lot 144 a rare vintage kitchen unit would suit anyone who is considering building a tiny home as this beautiful 1950s unit is of compact and clever design, which encompasses a pull out kitchen table neatly stored within the unit.

Auctioneer Terry Wright said, "The auction offers a very good range of vintage, retro and architectural items to suit all tastes and budgets. This is a great opportunity for lovers of all things old to enjoy a day out and make some fabulous purchases from the auction along the way" - completely free of VAT on the hammer, Vat will be on the 15% buyers premium only.

Terry is rather taken by lot 348, a Victorian costermongers hand pulled market stall originally from the Old Spitalfields Market, London. Terry and His wife Emma already own a 100 year old horse drawn costermongers London trolley which they use as a market stall at fairs local to them in the Chertsey area, so unfortunately have no room for this charming piece of history.

Other lots in the auction include pier caps, staddlestones, garden ornaments, vintage school desks and chairs, period fire surrounds and a great selection of upcycled mirrors and more.

Viewing will be on Saturday 27th June between 09:00am-05:00pm, and then from Monday 29th June through to Friday 3rd July between 09:00am-05:00pm. Auction staff will be available to assist with viewing and to answer any questions on both Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd July.
