Wellers Auctioneers Ltd will be holding the first of this year's offsite architectural auctions on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th March at North Shropshire Reclamation, Wackley Lodge Farm, Burlton, Shrewsbury, SY4 5TD on behalf of North Shropshire Reclamation who are closing the business prior to the site being redeveloped for residential use. The sale is 'unreserved' and all lots must be sold.

Auctioneer Glen Snelgar states "the sale estimates are designed to encourage buyers to attend and have that definite 'come and buy me' feel to them." A further attraction is that somewhere in the region of 95 percent of lots in the auction will not attract VAT on the hammer price.

On Saturday 14th a further 800 lots will be sold which will consist of garden statuary, features and period elements. All the statuary displayed on the farms driveway will be sold including a pair of impressive Kingsale Hounds on large plinths and a pair of Semi Recumbent Lions also on stone plinths (est. £2000-£4000). There will be several pond surrounds with integral fountains available as well as Regency style urns and sundials. There are also many stone troughs, chimney pots, garden benches, hoppers, and cast iron agricultural features to include old implements, troughs and mangers together with four wagons and carts, millstones and garden rollers.

The stock in trade of accessories to include knobs, knockers and handles must be sold. Finally a good selection of fireplaces and surrounds, sanitary wares, windows and fanlights will also come under the hammer.
