The tenth annual get together of the Unternehmerverbandes Historische Baustoffe e.V. (German architectural salvage trade association) is taking place as part of Denkmal, a large conservation trade fair in Leipzig, and will feature a 60 lot auction on the last day Saturday 8 November at 4pm. Estimates range from €20 for a pretty leaded glass cupboard door to €68,000 for a unique and fab 11ft high 1770s rococo ceramic stove from a stately home.

A group of four salvage businesses will be exhibiting at the fair: Thomas Knapp and Florian Langenbeck (seen Salvo fairs), Theo Holtebrinck Antike Kachelöfen, and Historische Baustoffe Ostalb.

Request to readers who plan to visit: please send us photos of Denkmal, especially of the salvage stands, and any links or info about the embodied energy figures for materials at the show. Thanks, Ed
