In 1997 Capital Banks Training Centre in Chester opened its doors. A unique blend of artwork and architecture had evolved with works by the brilliant Broadbent Studios, that of Stephen Broadbent well known for.
Incorporating glass, stainless steel, bronze and stone features the art tells the story from apprentice starting with a laser etched floor piece, with the 'Journeymen' suspended above in the foyer, ornament glass hanging from the ceiling finishes outside with two large bronze casting on the façade of the building.
These items have been carefully removed and reclaimed and currently for sale and open to offers here at International Slates Supplies in Aylesbury. The building has not been demolished and PJ Labour Services our sister demolition company were asked to strip out and decommission the building ready for letting.
The Broadbent Studio have a very successful history undertaking some hugely successful city centre public artwork commissions, Stephen Broadbent is greatly respected and his artwork is admired by the masses and will be for many generations to come.
Stephen Broadbent said he was shocked that the building has be decommissioned and that the items were removed as they formed part of the artist and architects vision. He was delighted to hear that ISS had reclaimed the items and stated they were very difficult to erect and install. He further commented that he was very pleased the sculptures would not be
melted down.
ISS Ltd supply reclaimed materials to reclaim yards via their demolition side.
