Johnsons Wellfield is Britain’s Leading Supplier of Natural Hard Yorkstone and has been operational out of Huddersfield since 1854, employing 80 highly skilled craftsman and operatives. We specialise in walling stone, paving stone and bespoke masonry for building projects of all sizes from small domestic jobs to large scale industrial, public realm and residential developments. We also supply aggregates to a number of high profile customers in the area.

Johnsons Wellfield has provided materials to a number of high profile projects across the United Kingdom including the National Maritime Museum, Thames Riverside Walk, M&S Harrogate, several Universities across the UK including Huddersfield Arts Building, Tudor Square Sheffield, and many more.

Our Natural Hard Yorkstone is extracted from our 250 acre site where block is transported to our stone cutting facility located within the same location which also helps with our carbon footprint. Our leading manufacturing facility is one of the largest and best equipped dimension stone plants in the UK, and though extensive R&D we have invested in industry leading robotic technology, delivering the highest quality product to the end user.

We are also heavily involved with the local community, by regularly engaging to local community groups, providing site tours to local schools and residents as well as extensive restored open spaces for our local residents to enjoy.

We continue to be passionate about protecting our natural environment. Just a few examples of the investments made include, all water used within the process is harvested rainwater, and is recycled and reused throughout the process and we are continually investing in more fuel efficient extraction and processing technology.
