Established in 1973, Cleveland Steel & Tubes Ltd is one of the largest stockholders of steel tubes in Europe with over 70,000 tonnes of material held at their 100-acre facility in North Yorkshire, UK. The use of surplus steel can deliver huge savings on carbon emissions. Inventory is comprised of steel tubes recovered predominantly from steel mills and the oil and gas industry. For the most part, the pipes are surplus stock that is produced to a high standard – but never actually used in the project.

Stock includes certified material and more cost-effective uncertified material, which can be issued with independent test reports. A pipe numbering system also means that all stock can be traced to source.

Random lengths are available, generally from 4.5m up to about 15m, and customers have the option of having shorter cut pieces or extended lengths with circumferential welds. Specialist services include cutting, welding, shot blasting, painting, testing and worldwide storage and logistics.
