Touch Wood

Part of the National Community Wood Recycling Project social enterprise Touch Wood rescues landfill destined waste timber for reuse, whilst creating jobs and training opportunities for disadvantaged local people at the same time.

Touch Wood’s sister enterprise EMERGE Recycling provides a wood collection service across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, collecting redundant wood from construction sites, industrial estates and other commercial sources, reclaiming as much as possible.

The wood store offers a range of timber, cleaned and ready for use, which includes softwoods, hardwoods and sheet materials. The in-house workshop craft bespoke pieces from the reclaimed timber from home and garden furniture to unique gifts, they also take on commissions.
