pair antique 19th century brass shell sconces 1879

A large pair of gilt brass shell wall sconces / girandoles both bearing diamond registration stamps for May 10th,1879. The gilt is fading in places to show the red bole underneath. They have been cleaned, polished and rewired (with discreet earthing) and have the original hanging rings on the back.
