An antique wrought iron oval grate with attractive scroll decoration. English, early 19th century.
All forged and riveted construction. Later grate base. Excellent condition.
This has been well rubbed up / polished and protected with several coats of finest clear microcrystalline wax.
Dimensions in inches/cms;
26"/66cm max width.
23.25"/59cm tall.
Approx 14"/35cm max depth.
Interior grate space; 13.5"/24cm wide x 6"/15cm height x 8.5"/22cm deep.
