Described by Homer as the "joy of men", Dionysus was the ancient Greek god of wine, merriment and theatre.The imposing corbels are intricately decorated and can be used both inside and out due to the robust nature of the stone.Highly regarded, Blashfield, was noted for his involvement with the Coade Stone movement of Elenor Coade and the acquirement of her moulds.
