Antique 16th Century Plank and Muntin Oak Screen. This is an incredibly rare and sought after genuine antique screen in amazing original condition. It would have been used to divide up a Medieval Hall House to create individual rooms, a process which began in the late 1400s and continued throughout the Tudor period. It comprises two arches, four planks (plus an incomplete fragment) and four muntins offering flexible presentation. Its dimensions are approximately: length 4.72m, height 1.9m and thickness 8cm (arches and muntins) to 2cm (planks). It would make an absolutely stunning decorative statement or could be used within a restoration project. It is probably probably Welsh Borders in origin and further provenance is available on request. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire a truly special piece of history.
