Original Reclaimed and Restored Cast Iron Tiled Insert circa 1885, teamed with a Wooden Surround Blackened and Polished to give the Cast Iron effect



Description

This original cast Iron insert tiled Insert has been stripped back by hand and re-polished as cast iron should be.

We DO NOT paint any of our Cast Iron. We keep it at its natural best and use cast iron polish to bring out the natural beauty of the cast depending on the light it is a graphite/black colour.

Can be used with gas or solid fuel (grate for solid fuel in photo can be adapted for Gas Use) or as a decorative feature in any room.

Bold and beautiful this antique cast iron fireplace insert comes complete with Original antique tiles

Flanked with 5 tiles to each side the piece is complemented by a further two that side atop of the hood.

The Surround is a wood and had been blackened and polished to give a cast Iron look

All our surrounds are reclaimed and as such may have some minor knocks and blemish appropriate to its age.

All Surrounds are sympathetically restored and they get cleaned/ polished waxed/cleaned prior to delivery/collection.

Insert can be sold separately if surround is not required or is not to your taste.

The Hearth in the photos is not included.
